    Network Engineer with 2+ years experience in a similar role within an MSP of IT networking, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, Firewalls, Disaster Recovery, Windows Servers.

    An excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer looking to develop their career, in this role you will work as part of an IT Network team providing onsite support as well as office based projects. Your day to day responsibilities will be to work on servers, networks and infrastrucutre, such as Windows servers 2008/2012/2016, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Group Policy, Office 365, firewalls and routing. You will deal with cases escalated from the support desk as well as new installations and maintaince. The ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose, develop and design clients IT networks from the aspects of usability, security and functionality.

    A unique opportunity is available for a full time engineer to help deal with home and business users, both in person and over the phone / remotely. The right person for the job will have experience solving hardware / software issues, well presented, be able to handle a heavy workload under pressure and have good time management. A keen interest in IT and a willingness to learn new skills is essiential. We are looking for someone wanting to progress into a support desk and finally field engineer position.
    The ideal candidate will have experience with desktop/laptop repairs, this could include installing fresh copies of Windows, backing up systems, removing viruses, setting up wireless networks, fault diagnostics, laptop screen replacement, soldering and board level repairs and any other type of problems home users may have with their systems. Previous expose to Microsoft Windows servers advantageous as our core business is delivering outsourced IT solutions to SME’s throughout sussex and you will from time to time have to deal with these types of clients, either dealing with the call or logging the call and escalating it to a 1st level engineer.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Day to day repairs to home and business systems from within our repair shop, both hardware and software
    • Resolve technical support enquiries, ensuring that customers are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner
    • Maintain and update a log of support requests, and ensure that these are pursued pending priority and closed
    • Deal face to face with customers advising them on issues with their computers and explaining the problem in plain English.
    • Keeping on top of workload and ensure fast turn around times
